Real Geeks + Claude AI = Game Changer
I Let AI Fix My Real Estate Website. Here's What Happened on Day One.
If you have a Real Geeks website, you can now connect an AI assistant like Claude directly to it. That means AI can go into your site, find problems, fix pages, update content, and even build brand new pages for you.
So naturally, I had to try it. Here's what happened on my very first day.
A Little Confession First
I've had HoustonREBoss.com for years. A lot of it was built back when I had no idea what I was doing. I was clicking buttons, copying and pasting, and hoping for the best.
These days, I have it down to a science. I could practically build a page blindfolded. But Past Me? Past Me left a mess. So I wanted to see how much of it AI could find.
What We Fixed on Day One
In a single session, we made nearly 300 fixes:
79 pages with typos
80 pages with outdated code
13 pages with incorrect hidden code that Google reads
3 misspelled page addresses
180 mislabeled sidebar links
6 broken sidebar links
62 blog post links protected from breaking
9 blog posts cleaned of leftover notes
1 brand new page created
1 duplicate page removed
We also fixed my New Construction page so it actually shows new construction. Shocking, I know.
I Stayed in the Driver's Seat
I did not hand Claude the keys and say, "Go wild." I set it up so I had to approve every single change before it happened.
This is my business. I'm not letting anybody, human or robot, redecorate without asking. Claude would find a problem, explain it in plain English, and wait. Nothing changed until I said yes.
My Biggest Piece of Advice: If You Don't Understand It, Don't Click It
If AI wants to make a change and you don't fully understand it, don't make that change.
Your website is like a giant game of Jenga. Pull one little block, and something on the other side of the tower comes crashing down. Even if the AI warns you that a change might affect other things, stop if you don't really understand what that means.
I almost learned this the hard way. One "simple" change to a page address would have broken 62 links across my blog. One change. Sixty-two links.
